Refund policy

 

At DirectBlanks, we do not offer returns unless the item is defective or misrepresented beyond measure (outside of what these terms state), in accordance with California consumer law. We do not offer returns or exchanges for reasons such as change of mind, sizing issues, or buyer’s remorse.

To be eligible for a return due to a defect or product misconception:

  • The item must be unworn, unwashed, with tags, and in original packaging. No body odor, perfumes, or stains must be present on product(s), or we reserve the right to reject your return.

  • You must contact us within 5 days of delivery with clear photo evidence of the issue.

  • Proof of purchase is required.

For all other returns, we offer exchanges or store credit only to our customers. We will not accept returns after 14 calendar days have passed from date of delivery. No exceptions. Customer is responsible for return postage costs to DirectBlanks. There is a return label fee of $9.99 if purchasing label through us (maximum of 2 items allowed), thereafter add $2.00 for each additional item in return. Return label issued through us must be used within 7 calendar days, or return will be deemed invalid. We reserve the right to reject your return if we receive your return late (past the timeframe allotted), plus your order will be assessed at least a 20% restocking fee. 

Customer can also choose to send back product(s) through carrier of their own choice. Tracking number is required for all returns. DirectBlanks will not be held responsible for orders sent back wrong or mishandled/lost by carrier. It is the customer's responsibility to make sure all returns are properly packaged. For any delivery or shipping-related issues, all claims must be resolved directly with the carrier. We reserve the right to limit returns on multiple items from customers, or if we detect unusual activity with your account due to high risk of fraud.

Please do not send items back without confirmation from our team. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted or processed. DirectBlanks reserves the right to refuse returns that show signs of wear or do not meet a returns quality check and our return criteria. All returns are subject to a minimum 10% handling fee. For orders where a refund is due, the original cost of shipping (incurred by DirectBlanks or the customer), is non-refundable, and will be deducted from final payout due.


Faulty Products

If your item arrives damaged (due to manufacturing defect) or you received the wrong product, please contact us within 5 days of delivery. Loose threads are not considered a fault in the product. We will not respond to requests outside of this timeframe. Any claims made to us must contain picture evidence and will be strictly evaluated by our team before providing either a replacement or refund. 

We are not responsible for any damage caused by Third Parties (print shops, dye houses, etc.), especially if the order has not been shipped directly to the customer.

Please note: We only sell natural cotton products, and even though garments come pre-washed, there will be around 5% shrinkage on average. This is not considered a fault in the product, but a natural composition of the fabric. Please follow care instructions on garment to maintain not only its integrity, but its authentic look and feel. We always recommend to hand wash and line dry garments for best results. 


Non-Returnable Items

We do not accept returns on the following:

  • Custom or personalized products, including any printed samples and private orders 

  • Wholesale or bulk orders

  • Sale items or gift cards

  • Items that have been worn, washed, used, or exhibit any type of bodily odor, stains, or perfumes


Refunds (if applicable)

Once your return is received and inspected, we will determine if it is eligible for a refund. If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 7 business days.

We reserve the right to solely define and limit, refuse, and/or reject orders/returns from customers at any time due to:

  • An irregular or excessive returns history indicative of "wardrobing;"
  • An irregular or excessive returns history involving worn, altered, laundered, damaged, or missing items; or
  • Potential fraudulent or criminal activity- including, but not limited to claiming products are not as described, or are being misrepresented/wrongly advertised in order to initiate chargebacks, refunds or forced returns.

"Worn" means any item that shows visible signs of wear, such as creases, stretched fabric, or pilling. This includes items that have been worn outside the house or have noticeable signs of use.

"Altered" means any item that has been modified or changed from their original condition, including alterations made by the customer or a third party. This includes shortened hems, added embellishments, or any other modifications that alter the original design.

"Laundered" means any item that has been washed, either by machine or by hand. This includes items that have been laundered using detergent, fabric softener, or any other cleaning agents.

"Damaged" means any item that has visible physical damage, such as tears, rips, holes, or stains that cannot be easily removed. This includes damage caused by accidents, improper handling, or inappropriate use.

"Missing" means any item components or parts of the item that are not present when returning, such as detachable accessories, tags, original packaging, or any included extras. If your purchase included a free gift(s), and was part of a bundle deal, those items must be returned back to us, or you will be charged full price for "missing" items.


Exceptions

We make every effort to display our products, materials and their colors as accurately as possible, however please note that the colors of some products will ultimately depend upon the screen of the user and we can't guarantee its proper display on your choice of equipment. We reserve the right to name products or colors that fit the brand aesthetic, which might be different than consumer expectations. Some styles/colors included on our website may contain older style names or pictures, which are not considered a misrepresentation, and are subject to change.

Also, please take into account our garments are individually handcrafted, meaning some products produced in the same color may have some slight shade variations (based on our color naming guide, not consumer expectations). This is a part of the artisanal process in fashion and is not considered a fault or misconception on our part, but rather takes into account our color vocabulary, and how it is constantly evolving to meet the needs of our consumer base.

Each and every one of our products is garment dyed using natural inks. If your garment gets stained, please do not apply any chemical detergent as this can alter and damage the composition of the color. We are not responsible for any damage (including but not limited to overall shrinkage) caused to the garments once they have been washed.

We advise you not to wash intense/dark colored garments together with lighter colored garments. Although the color of our products is fixed in the fabric during the dyeing process, due to the use of natural dyes, there is always a small possibility that they may fade and transfer to lighter colors.
